The Local Area
Plas Gorwelion is situated on Llandudno’s picturesque west parade where you can experience a peaceful atmosphere with breath-taking sea views of the Conwy estuary, mountains, Snowden, Anglesey and puffin island. To the rear there are views of the great Orme. (Meaning serpent by the Vikings) West shore beach is a few steps away and popular for water sports as well as sunbathing. The promenade hosts a boating lake, a play area and plenty of walks on the doorstep of the Orme, Deganwy and Conwy. It runs parallel to north shore with its Victorian promenade and pier with Gloddaeth avenue linking them both. Shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance and the bus terminus is on our doorstep to take you to other north Wales destinations for daytrips.
Llandudno
Llandudno was developed as a traditional seaside resort around 1854, known as the queen of the Welsh resorts. It boasts the longest pier in Wales and central to the surrounding spectacular natural beauty of Snowdon and many tourist attractions. The great Orme is home to the oldest copper mine in Europe as well as a ski and toboggan slope with a visitors centre giving the history of the area. The Orme is accessible on foot, car, cable car, tram, or bicycles can be hired locally. Apart from the traditional shops on Mostyn street there are also two retail parks for the shopaholics. You will be spoilt for choice with dining experiences to match everyone’s taste.
What Our Guests Say
Wonderful West Beach
Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, with amazing views. The mattresses were firm, which we love! We appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge. It was amazing being able to park right outside, whatever the time of day. The owners are friendly and helpful.
Perfect Hosts. Perfect Location. Immaculate room. Would definitely recommend.
Everything. Pre-arrival contact was great. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful on arrival. Very informative when advising of the views from Bay window. Room was immaculate, spacious and fantastic views. Location was amazing. Overlooking the beach, short distance to rest of Llandudno but peaceful in the evening which was great. View from the room was fantastic including local beach, Snowdon, Anglesey and Puffin Island. Not only were the views fantastic but there was a Chaise Longue to recline on when viewing them and binoculars supplied to enhance them. Such a lovely couple, felt like we had made new friends.
